I've always been actively involved in school events and was even chosen as the e-warrior representative at school. To further this cause, my friends Panth Patel, Devarsh Kshatri, and I organized an e-waste collection drive in our small town of Anand. Anand lacks proper infrastructure for e-waste recycling, with the nearest authorized recycling units located in Ahmedabad or Vadodara. Sadly, about 95% of India's e-waste is recycled by unauthorized units or kabadiwalas, using non-scientific methods and often involving child labor, posing serious environmental and health hazards. My Diwali holidays this year were spent exploring Pondicherry with my parents and family friends, creating cherished memories filled with spirituality, Indian culture, history, and adventure. Despite the weather's attempt to dampen our spirits, our curiosity remained unyielding. Day 1: Arrival and Cultural Immersion After landing at Chennai Airport, we embarked on a road trip to Pondicherry, making a stop at the iconic Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram. The beautiful structure built during 700 – 728 AD by the Pallavas is a masterpiece as it depicts the ancient finesse of art. The old maps show the Shore Temple as part of the seven pagodas, however only one is there for us to explore. Archeologists feel that the remaining six pagodas must have been washed away by the sea and buried in sand.
